Zoom!® Teeth Whitening
Mask those years of stains and discoloration caused by coffee and soda-drinking, tobacco use, and general wear and tear to your teeth with just a single Zoom!® Teeth Whitening session. You can have teeth that are up to eight shades whiter in just under an hour with this amazing technology. Dr. Woods will apply a gel to the surfaces of your teeth, and then expose them to a special light. The gel breaks down, and oxygen is released into the hard part of the teeth, which bleaches them without residual damage. This teeth-whitening technology is not for everyone, and you should consult your physician if you have a sensitivity to light, have been diagnosed with melanoma, and/or are undergoing chemotherapy treatments. There are alternatives for patients who are unable to have the Zoom!® Teeth Whitening treatment. Please contact Dr. Woods for more information or to schedule an appointment.
Porcelain Veneers
Some of the most common dental problems that can affect your smile (and self-esteem) are gaps or chips in your teeth. Porcelain veneers can change all that. After an initial impression of your teeth is made, a porcelain shell is bonded directly to the tooth, then tinted and conformed to match the color and shape of your teeth. A veneer can also be used to conceal stains, cracks and general loss of tooth structure, as well as close gaps between your teeth. Dr. Woods can achieve this in a minimal amount of time, and since most procedures use only a small amount of local anesthetic, discomfort is almost non-existent!

Dental Bonding
Dental bonding is a quick treatment designed to close small gaps, cover any natural flaws, and even correct crooked teeth. After applying the plastic resin bonding material to the damaged area, Dr. Woods sculpts and colors it. The tooth is then exposed to a high-intensity light, which hardens the material. Dental bonding usually lasts for many years and can make a world of difference for your smile.
Tooth-Colored Fillings
Do you have old-fashioned, dark-colored fillings that make you feel self-conscious when you speak or smile? A tooth-colored (composite) filling can solve that for you. Instead of a silver alloy, tooth-colored fillings are made of glass or quartz, tinted to blend with the enamel of your teeth. Traditional amalgam fillings have a tendency to expand with time and cause teeth to break. A bonded composite resin filling restores the tooth structure to nearly its original strength. Tooth-colored fillings bond to the tooth, and a special light is used to harden them to the surface. All this usually takes only one visit to the dentist, and the results are long-lasting. Flashing your smile should be no problem at all with a brand new natural-looking filling!

Crowns
Teeth damaged from decay or chips and cracks can be corrected by adding a crown. The crown is a color-matched covering that completely envelops the tooth. After an initial impression of the teeth is made, a crown is tailored to fit the exact measurements of the damaged tooth. Crowns can be made of porcelain, acrylic, or other materials that can restore a strong and healthy-looking structure to your teeth. Even better, crowns are known to last many years, in some cases decades.
Bridges
Bridges are a common choice for replacing missing teeth. Our custom-made bridges are comprised of an artificial tooth or teeth that fit between two crowns. These crowns are attached to the natural teeth on either side of a gap. The artificial tooth or teeth go right in the middle, filling the space between the natural teeth. A dental bridge can dramatically alter the way your teeth look and finally have you grinning from ear to ear!

Dentures
For those of us who have more than a few teeth missing, dentures can be an excellent way of replacing them. Usually made from an acrylic resin, dentures are custom-made to fit to the gums and tailored to match the rest of your existing teeth. Dentures help with chewing, speech problems, and other issues related to the loss of teeth. Both full and partial sets of dentures are available for denture candidates.
Dental Implants
Missing or badly damaged teeth can now be replaced by dental implants. Unlike traditional dentures, dental implants are artificial tooth roots that fuse directly to the jawbone. After the bone has been given enough time to mold itself to the metallic root, a crown is sealed over the implant. The result is a permanent, natural-looking tooth that can improve chewing, speaking, and best of all, your smile! Since this is a surgical procedure, patients must have healthy gums and an oral screening to determine whether they are appropriate candidates.
